Do MBBS students consider nursing students inferior?

During my 3rd-year MBBS gynecology posting, I went to the operation theatre to watch my first Cesarean section delivery.

The surgery was being done by a first-year junior resident in obstetrics and gynecology, and it was her first time performing a C-section alone.

When she was about to make the first cut, she looked nervous and unsure. The experienced nurse assisting her noticed this and encouraged her.

She helped her make the first incision and guided her step by step through the procedure.

The nurse kept cheering her on, saying things like, “You did this step very well.”

With her support, the junior resident successfully delivered the baby. The nurse gave her a warm hug and congratulated her…

In medicine, no one is greater or lesser—every role is crucial, and mutual respect forms the heart of this noble profession
