Crocodiles are simply programmed to kill. It’s in their genetics; they live to eat other animals.
But do you know who the truly badass animal is?
Hippos.
Hippos are herbivores, and yet they kill almost anything foolish enough to get close to them.
These seemingly cute and cuddly psychotic beasts have jaw strength of 77 kg/cm² (1500 psi) and can run at absurd speeds for their size, up to 45 km/h, while weighing about 1500 kg.
When they aren’t just trampling their victims, they literally cut them in half with that gigantic hydraulic press they have instead of a mouth.
The best part is that they do all of this just for fun. They don’t eat animals; they’re herbivores.
To me, this is a lack of mercy.
