This is fried monkey brains and is mainly used in Asia and ironically if you eat it you run the risk of developing a condition called Creutzfeldt – Jakob disease which is similar to mad cow disease.
It makes little holes in your brain and ends up killing you.
Ackee , the national fruit of Jamaica, can only be eaten when fully ripe. If you eat it unripe or eat the black seeds in it, you will develop a condition called Jamaican vomiting sickness , a fatal disease:
This fish is called ” puffer fish ” and is a Japanese delicacy. It is also extremely toxic, so much so that the cook has to train for 2 years before he can serve these things.
One pinhead of the neurotoxin found in fish can kill 30 humans and there is no antidote.
And lastly, clams :
They are very popular in Southeast Asia. They can cause hepatitis, dysentery and typhoid fever, and about 15% of people who eat them become infected .
I might be brave enough to try the pufferfish and the ackee , but I would NEVER eat the other two.
