Well, this happened. Had a little run in with the West Virginia State Police

“Well, this happened. Had a little run in with the West Virginia State Police. We got pulled over for speeding (and yes, we were guilty.) Here’s what blew my mind…the caution the officer had to use approaching our vehicle. He came to the passenger side and asked Charlie to roll down the rear window where he stopped and looked inside. He then slowly came to my window but stayed slightly behind me. He was a very nice guy who asked where we were headed (Brunswick Ga for things related to Charlie’s new job.) Told us why he stopped us. Then asked if we had any weapons. Charlie answered honestly that he had a knife in his pocket. The officer said that a large number of people have weapons in their vehicle these days and he has to be on the lookout not only for guns but grenades and rocket launchers. So police officers have to approach speeders like they’re approaching a war zone now? What a world we live in. We used the manners our mommas taught us, answered any question he asked. He went back to his car where he ran our info, and came back to wish Charlie luck at his new job and issued him a warning and asked us to slow down. We definitely have slowed down and will take the warning to heart. He could’ve written us a ticket and cost us a ton of money. Instead, he was incredibly nice and gave us a little reminder to watch out for our own safety. So I’m asking you all to pray for him and his fellow officers…because they have a job to do and there are those out there who would do serious harm over a simple traffic stop. Blue lives absolutely matter…”
