“We stopped for gas in Santee S. Carolina and while taking my 3 little dogs out to potty I heard a very panicked meow coming from an extremely thick thorn bush. 40 minutes later we located and rescued her from the thorns. 2 hours later she was bathed, de-flead, and fed. We were already traveling with 3 dogs and 1 cat so this was definitely not what we needed…. but…what other choice was there? | made 6 calls to various shelters and rescues and nobody was of any help at all. Literally did not care. We accepted our fate and after that major detour, accepted that we were meant to be there for a reason. That beautiful tiny little soul was all alone, covered in fleas, all scratched up, and very close to an extremely busy intersection. That was a week and a half ago and im not sure i will be able to let her go.
She is the sweetest most cuddly kitten I’ve ever met. We have a vet appointment this afternoon to make sure she is healthy. I believe she was only maybe 6 weeks old when we found her. I love her so much and that was NOT the plan! We named her Holly after the holly bush we rescued her from. Sometimes we are just where we are supposed to be when we are supposed to be there.”😍
