This week, two police officers pulled over a car for running a red light. During the stop, the woman driving told them she was in a hurry to drop the children in the car off at school.

The officers asked her which school they attended, but she couldn’t give a clear answer.

They asked her to step out of the car and then spoke to the kids. They asked the oldest child, who was 10 years old, “Do you know this woman?”

The child shook his head and said no. Right away, the officers arrested the driver.

It was later discovered that the woman had kidnapped the four children, ages 10 to 6, while they were on their way to school.

Thanks to the sharp thinking and quick actions of these officers, they were able to safely rescue the children and take a kidnapper off the streets.

Great job to Officers Flannel and Parrish—two hardworking members of the Eighth Precinct.
