Roddy McDowall was one of the rare child stars who stayed popular as he got older. He started out as a baby model and acted in his first movie when he was just 9 years old.

As he got older, he became very interested in photography. Since he worked with many famous people in show business and knew some well-known people outside of it too, he built a big collection of photos over time.

In 1963, he took this photo of Buster Keaton, a famous silent film star. Buster had also started young — even earlier than Roddy — making his first stage appearance at the age of three.

In the photo, Buster is holding a picture of himself when he was about five or six, from the time he performed on stage with his parents in their family act, The Three Keatons.
