“Parents Told Home Depot Staff Insurance Might Not Cover Their Little Boy’s Walker”
“Today, a woman came into our Home Depot with her mom and husband, saying that their little boy needed a walker, but the insurance company might not pay for it. So, they found plans online to build one using PVC pipe. My store manager heard about it, so we went over to talk to them. We looked at their plans and said, ‘We’ve got this.’ We started putting it together and told the family to go get some ice cream and come back in an hour.
Other staff members joined in to help, and when the family returned, the walker was finished. The little boy, Logan, was walking around with the biggest smile, and everyone was in tears.
When the family tried to pay us, we told them, ‘No way, this one’s on us.’
