In 1962, actor Charles Bronson met actress Jill Ireland. Even though she was married, Bronson fell in love with her. Jill even told her husband, Scottish actor David McCallum, “I’m going to marry your wife.” McCallum thought she was joking, but she wasn’t. In 1968, Bronson and Ireland got married. They stayed married until Jill passed away from cancer years later.

This shows how things were different back then. If you really wanted something, you worked hard for it, no matter the challenges, and you didn’t give up.

In the 2020s, the biggest thing people fight for is getting their favorite chicken sandwich back when it’s taken off the menu. Back in the 1960s, love was still a grand, dramatic story. Things have changed a lot since then.
