I’m Soumyata, I’m a Doctor (Senior Resident) practicing in AIIMS Delhi. I earn around Rs.1,20,000 per month for now, along with some casual perks and allowances, which makes it around Rs. 1,50,000 per month.
Well, the bifurcation of my salary usage on a monthly basis is as follows:
Rent: 15,000
I stay in a 1bhk simple but well maintained and clean flat. I don’t share it, so the rent is reasonable according to me. Electricity is included too.
Food: 400 (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) per day, so 12,000 monthly. I cook only breakfast, rest of the meals I take tiffins or canteen food, or order in sometimes occasionally.
Movies/Outings: 12,000 monthly, I love going out into the city, treat myself to some snacks, or just grab a tub of popcorn and get into the movies, so yea.
Clothes/Other shopping stuff: 6,000 monthly, I like to dress well, and it keeps me happy so why not.
Extra expenditures: 10,000 monthly, like buying occasional gifts for a friend, traveling to some place, buying books, Netflix subscription etc. Because these things don’t happen every month, so I like to keep a certain amount for when I want to do these stuff.
Remaining? I just save in a FD, or MF along with some SIP folios that I have.
I don’t have any other addictions or needs like going to parties, going to clubs, drinking, or buying very expensive stuff, etc. So, I guess I don’t spend too much.
Also, my parents are working and they won’t accept a penny from me, because they want me to keep it all lol.
That’s me working and below are some random selfie I took this weekend.
