I went back to work today and realized I forgot my pass, so I locked my bike outside Cannon Street station. When I left work at 6 pm, I found my lock had been cut and my bike was gone. I was sure I’d never see it again, so I asked the station if they had cameras.
Then, a man showed up and waved at me. He asked me to put the code into my cut lock. When I did, he smiled and said, “I have your bike!” His name is Abdul Muneeb, and he works for South Eastern Railways. He was on a break when he saw someone cutting my lock. He confronted the person and made them give the bike back. Abdul took the bike inside and waited for 4 hours after his shift to make sure I got it back.
The world could really use more people like Abdul. He’s a legend and a credit to his employer!
