I saw something truly amazing on the sky train. A man, about six foot five, was acting aggressively on the bus. He was shouting, cursing, and moving around erratically, likely due to drug abuse or mental health issues.
While everyone else was scared, one 70-year-old woman reached out her hand, holding his hand tightly until he calmed down. Eventually, he sat down quietly, with tears in his eyes.
Afterward, I spoke to the woman, and she simply said, “I’m a mother, and he needed someone to touch.” Then, she started to cry.
This is a reminder not to fear or judge strangers. Life doesn’t treat everyone the same, and sometimes, all someone needs is kindness.
