I had a knock on our door today, and when I opened it, there was a lovely older lady, probably in her late 70s. She came to tell me what my boys (8 and 10 years old) had done.
I wasn’t surprised because they saw someone in trouble and didn’t hesitate to help. The lady had gotten her car and small yacht trailer stuck on the beach while trying to launch her yacht, and she had been stuck there for a few hours. She told me that sailing made her feel close to her late husband, and that’s why she kept doing it even at her age. Such a sweet story!
My boys grabbed the shovel she had been using and dug her out. Then they got a car from the road to help tow her out. Of course, my oldest had to attach the tow rope and guide the other car to make sure it was secure to pull her out.
I’m so proud of my kind-hearted farm boys. I’m truly blessed to call them mine. 🥺😭😍
