Bob was a Psychiatric Service Dog who, along with her handler, worked at San Antonio International Airport. Unfortunately, when her handler’s health declined, no one in his family could take Bob in, and she was surrendered to the San Antonio Animal Shelter. At 12 years old, Bob was overlooked for adoption and spent three months at the shelter.
Eventually, Bob was transferred to a shelter in College Station, where she “found” me online. The moment she saw me, it was clear—Bob had chosen me. She came to live with my wife, our three Corgis, and me, watching over us for the rest of her life.
Bob passed away at over 19 years old, and now she rests peacefully with her Corgi friends, beneath the shade of pin oak trees on our ranch.
