And oh my

“And oh my… if Nibi ever found out…”

“This is Jacalyn Sparrow. We got her a few weeks ago from Billerica & Tewksbury Animal Control. I took her in planning to send her to another rehab place because I don’t usually care for birds. When she arrived, she had no feathers and needed to be fed every 15 to 30 minutes during the day.

Most of the animals here stay in the rehab room, but Jacalyn needed so much care that she stayed in the main house. Between the busy baby season and everything else going on, I didn’t arrange her transfer fast enough. And by then, my kids and Jonny had fallen in love with her—and it seems Jacalyn felt the same.

House Sparrows are allowed as pets in Massachusetts because they’re seen as an “invasive” species. Now, she flies outside when she wants and comes right back in. She acts like she owns the place and keeps us all in check.

I thought it was time you all met her.

No more animals in the main house! I can’t have my kids getting attached again!”
