This is an object that doesn’t reflect light:
Weird, huh? It doesn’t look real. I’ve seen Vantablack used in real life – it makes objects look like a cartoon. Your brain can’t really process things that absorb all light. Vantablack objects look photoshopped (even live) – like someone cut a piece out of reality – that’s what not reflecting light looks like.
These are actual rocks from Earth’s moon:
See how they look like… rocks? They have depth, dimension, and texture – that’s because they reflect light, giving our eyes something to “latch on” to, and our brains a way to interpret the object.
Everything you see reflects light – rocks, trees, dogs, even people.
The moon is visible to us because there’s a GINORMOUS lamp shining on it all the time, and sometimes the reflected light from that lamp comes toward us.
