Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said “I’m tired, it’s late, I’m going to bed.”
He soaked the chicks, took the meat out of the freezer for dinner the next day, checked for cereal left, filled the sugar bowl, put
the spoons and breakfast plates on the table and left the coffee maker ready.
Took the wet clothes out of the dryer and sewed a button.
Picked up the scattered toys, put the phone on charge.
Watered the plants, tied the garbage bag and laid a towel.
He went to the bedroom to write a note to the teacher, took out the money for the boy’s field trip and picked up a book that was under the chair.
Mom then washed her face put on lotion and brushed her teeth.
Daddy yelled: you weren’t going to bed..
“I’m leaving,” she said.
He lined up water in the dog’s drinking hole.
He locked the door and turned off the entry light.
Checked out the kids, set the alarm clock, got clothes ready for the day
next, at least ordered the shoemaker.
He added three things to the bucket list.
He turned off their lights and television and picked up a t-shirt and socks thrown on the floor and threw them in the dirty laundry basket.
At that moment, Dad turned off the TV and announced “I’m going to bed.”
And he did, without any other thought.
Nothing extraordinary?
Why do women live longer?
Because they’re made for the long haul (and they can’t die sooner, they’ve got too much to do).
This message is for phenomenal women to appreciate and for some men who have the intelligence to appreciate it.
