Many of you have been asking about Maddy, the beautiful 28-year-old mother who gave birth to her son 16 days ago.
Maddy’s father just sent me a new picture of Maddy and her baby boy, Harrison (left).
Harrison was born at 28 weeks and weighed 2 pounds, 12 ounces.
Maddy welcomed her son into the world while praying for God to heal her.
Six weeks ago, Maddy was doing great as a coach at Foley (AL) Middle School.
Today, she is getting ready to start chemotherapy next week.
The doctors told her, “You have stage 4 lung cancer. It has spread to your lungs, bones, liver, and brain. We need to deliver Harrison early, just in case.”
Maddy’s dad, Leon, tells me that little Harrison is gaining weight, and Maddy is strong enough to begin her chemo treatments next week.
Maddy is fighting with everything she has—she wants to see Harrison grow up and thrive.
The story of Maddy and Harrison has touched the hearts of so many people.
Now it’s time for us to show Maddy our support as she gets ready for her treatments.
