A customer asked for a refund, saying

A customer asked for a refund, saying, “I told you not to put cheese because I’m highly lactose intolerant.” I refused because they had eaten almost the entire burger, leaving only one small bite, and only one fry was left. They got upset and yelled that they would never come back. That’s fine with me.

A week later, they left a 1-star review on Yelp, claiming that we made them sick and didn’t give them a refund when they tried to return the burger. They didn’t mention that they ate most of the food or that they ordered a cheeseburger. They also didn’t explain how they could have missed the cheese.

Don’t always trust online reviews. Some people complain to get free food and mislead others when things don’t go their way. If I gave them a refund, it would have been like supporting theft from my workplace. You can’t finish a meal and then ask for a refund. We need to stop acting like customers are always right. News flash: THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT!
