With incredibly heavy hearts, we are deeply saddened to share that our sweet and special Townes has passed away. Townes was a true little hero. He had just turned five and was one of the newest young warriors fighting DIPG, an aggressive form of brain cancer. For nearly two months, he faced this illness with extraordinary courage, Hulk-like strength, and a kind of hope and optimism that inspired everyone around him. We are holding his family close in love and light, finding comfort in the words Townes once told us: “You’re going to be okay.”
Townes was pure light. Everywhere he went, he brought brightness with him. His smile and laughter filled people with real joy. Nothing ever seemed to dim his spirit. He was so funny, so clever, and he left a lasting impression on everyone who had the chance to meet him. He embraced life with his whole heart, living every day fully and joyfully. He loved his siblings deeply and was already excited to meet his soon-to-arrive baby brother.
Townes was the best dinner companion, the best little dresser, and the best hug-giver. He loved cheeseburgers and lattes. He was a tiny boy bursting with style, sass, and humor. As his family celebrates his life—his jokes, his dance moves, his silly videos—they honor the incredible little warrior he was, and the incredible spirit he will always be.
