Today I met an angel

Today, I met an angel. You came into the Denny’s where I work in Utah. You asked, “Can I have a waitress who is a single mother?” I thought that was strange, but I seated you in Crystal’s section. You stayed there for 2 hours just watching people. During that time, 7 families came in and ate, and you paid every single one of their bills. You spent over $1,000 on people you didn’t even know. I asked, “Why did you do that?” You simply said, “Family is everything. I’ve lost all mine.” When I looked into your eyes, I started to tear up (that’s why I walked away quickly). As soon as I got to the back, I cried because your eyes showed so much pain.

I want you to know that Crystal, the waitress you asked for, was living in a shelter with her son until she saved enough money to get a place. Your bill was $21.34, and you left her a $1,500 tip. Because of you, she can move into her new home next week. Because of you, 7 families got to eat for free. Crystal told me she prayed for a miracle the night before—and God sent you. You left before any of us could say thank you. I hope you read this because you are truly an amazing person. You touched all of our hearts. Thank you.
