After finishing a 12-hour shift mowing lawns

“After finishing a 12-hour shift mowing lawns, I saw this stranger—still don’t know who he is—and thought, there’s no way I’m letting him do this by himself. I turned my truck around, got my riding mower, crossed the street, and asked if he needed help.

His face lit up right away—no need for more words. I hurried back, started my mower, and got to work. While mowing, I looked over and saw him bent over his wife, resting his head on her shoulder. I finished the job quickly, gave them a thumbs-up, and started to pack up.

Before I could leave, his wife slowly walked over, so thankful. Their rider mower had broken down, and he had to do the whole yard with a push mower. Those 15 minutes of my time? It made their whole day.

If this story inspires even one person to do something nice tomorrow, I’ve done my part. I’m grateful for where I am, and I’ll never forget the people who helped me along the way.”
