I’m 52 and have been battling Stage 4 Non small cell lung, bone and liver cancer since 2015 when my Oncologist tried to tell me I had 6 months of life left! My 2 amazing daughters and I of course were floored. My girls then said “you don’t know my dad”! I’ve been hospitalized more times than I can count, survived a fire in which I had 2nd and 3rd degree burns to my chest and face have had multiple surgeries wide awake because putting me under would require being on a respirator that I would have to be on for life from anesthesia!
Last week my daughter called frantically needing someone to take care of my 2 month old granddaughter Violet. I told her to bring her to me and I will get to spend 4 beautiful hours taking care of her! We had the best day I’ve had in a very long time. Here is a picture that is a perfect example of why I am not going anywhere soon (sorry cancer 😎) She will soon know Exactly how much she has her PopPop wrapped, AHHHH LIFE, SO WORTH EVERY BATTLE!
